Project Superintendent
Company expectations
Experience in restaurant and retail construction is preferred but not required
Must be able to do basic math as well as know how to use a tape measure and basic hand tools
Must be able to use a computer and smartphone for general correspondence
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively by phone and email
Understand the project requirements, the expectations of our company and the expectations of the client.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license as well as having a means of reliable transportation

Superintendent’s Role and Responsibilities
The Project Superintendent is a critical person in the successful completion of a project. The Project Superintendent coordinates and reviews all of the work that takes place on the job site.
Work with and communicate effectively with the B&L Project Manager, our subcontractors and material suppliers
Work with and communicate effectively with our Client’s team (management, administration, operations, and vendors)
Implement and enforce job safety as well as compliance with government laws and regulations
Be able to read and interpret construction documents such as plans, scopes of work, contract agreements, operational and procedure manuals, Check work in progress to ensure that it is in compliance with the specifications
Check workmanship to ensure that it meets or exceeds the standards of our clients and B&L Construction
Review job progress and adjust tasks to keep the project on schedule
Plan ahead by coordinating contractors and material deliveries
Take daily and weekly photos
Conduct weekly safety meetings
Complete weekly updates and reports
Continue to learn the role and responsibilities of the position; increasing initiative from project to project.
